Cinius SpazioBed storage bed: a tall unit in solid beech wood hiding a large space-saving compartment underneath.
SpazioBed exceeds the classic height standards of the classic container bed: its height does not obstruct the bedroom, it is aesthetically pleasing and it comes with a wide range of drawers and sliding doors.
We make the most out of the space underneath the bed in an intelligent and practical way!
Wardrobe SpazioBed with a frontal ladder makes it possible to access the sides of the wardrobe cabinet freely.
The side sliding doors are in wood or lined in wood in Japanese (Shoji) style run on milled guides with a Japanese system, ensuring a sealing effect, dust proof and wear-free.
Light can be instilled inside on request.
Drawers run on Blum guides with soft closing.
The inside of the drawers is in birch plywood ideal for stability, the front and external parts are in solid laminated beech wood.
Handles can be: central narrow / central wide / wide with high wire, they are made of wood with a particular shape that makes it easy to grip.
For the flooring of SpazioBed, we recommend tatami (see here): its surface makes it possible to lay the mattress directly on it, allowing good breathability and achieving at the same time a dust-free storage bed.
However, it is possible to choose also a slatted base or perforated wooden top for the SpazioBed flooring.
Railings can be added to both sides of the bed.
We can customize your project following your needs, and by measure to the centimeter.
All our projects are customizable and made to measure.
Standard measuremenst: 86×206 | 96×206 | 106×206 | 126×206 | 146×206 | 166×206
SpazioBed can be placed next to a wall, in a room corner or built into a niche: the project can be customized to measure to the centimeter.
Tamping up the sheets is extremely easy: there is no need to bend down anymore!
In case you choose to place SpazioBed in a room corner or into a niche, we suggest to request a larger structure than the mattress to facilitate the tucking of the sheets.
Note that such a tall bed can look smaller than normal, but this is only due to an optical effect.
They often ask us how we came up with these storage beds and they compliment us. We have, indeed, done a good job at making them, however, the original idea came from a Cinius customer from Tuscany. He requested a 1 meter tall bed because he wanted to enjoy the landscape outside his window while lying comfortably on his bed.
We do love a challenge, and even though until then the maximum height ever made was about 50/60 cm, we made the commitment.
Unfortunately, the first results were disappointing: usually we assemble and test our prototypes in our laboratory. The first structure wasn’t stable and there were problems with noise and vibrations. Therefore, we increased the stirrups, the reinforcements, however, the problem persisted.
It was the end of July 2015, and the tall bed prototype was still assembled, but unused in stock, and we couldn’t find a solution. Then, like all great solutions, the idea came to out designer ( Fabio Fenili ) while on vacation.
We only needed to add a chest of drawers or a furniture piece at the foot of the bed and all the technical problems vanished.
